ABOUT THE ARTIST
Karin Strauss Quinn practiced interior and architectural design for fifteen years before becoming a full-time artist in 1998.

A graduate from the Design Institute of San Diego, Karin began her career as an architectural draftsperson for one of San Diego’s premier architectural firms. With a number of her projects published in trade books and magazines, Karin’s career continued to grow in positive ways. In 1992, one of her projects won an international design competition sponsored by Inspiration Magazine, of Zurich, Switzerland.

Returning to the states, Karin accepted an offer with Hallmark Cards, Inc., to act as their Retail Design Strategist. In her new position, Karin took a leading role in developing new store concepts, strategies in merchandising, and contributed to the development of Hallmarks Gold Crown Branding image campaign.

In 1998, Karin opened her own studio, where she began to focus exclusively on her artwork. Today, living in Florida, Karin’s passion for architectural history, travel and watercolors combine to tell her story. Karin is best known for her paintings of historic landmark architecture.
